The Valenti Megathread Part IV

I’ve had this a long time now and it came loaded with Nord single and
Sadowsky preamp. Which was great, but not as different from my Sadowsky as I’d hoped.
So I sent it to Nino and had him swap in Nord Blades and 2B preamp which I like pretty well so far.
More organic but still capable of being edgey.
Totally not my rig, it belongs to the studio I was working at. Sounded good tho.

Always one of my faves! Thinking of sending my blue one back to Nino for an OBP-1 install with a VTC. May get the headstock painted as well.

Getting excited about this new bass coming this fall (hopefully)

Neck just like my PBass
Birdseye Maple Fretboard
35” Scale
1 7/8” Nut
19MM Spacing
Hipshot Vintage Bridge

Candy Orange Finish
Black Painted Headstock
Sadowsky style knobs
Nordstrand 3 band preamp
Nordstrand Zen Blade Pickups
2 Way Mini switch for each pickup (Series/Parallel)

Second Pickguard Brown Tort

+1 on all the comments about Chef.

Man, I'm still as stunned as I was when I read the news last weekend. This one's gonna stick with me a while.

And just like Ivan wrote, ain't no doubt I play a Valenti because of Chef.

Breaks my heart to read this... But I'm happy that in some small way I got to know him if only through social media and a handful of PMs. I LOVED his mother's artwork and after she passed, would always order a calendar which featured it from him.

Rest easy, brother...

I finally got to take these two out on their first real gig. ~ It was literally a call on the way home from work on Friday to do a sub gig Saturday. They sounded great & fit right in the mix.

Just put my deposit on a left handed Verrazzano T21-P5, so excited!! I’ve wanted a Valenti for ages, but the custom models have been over my budget and Nino didn’t offer Verrazzano series in lefty a couple of years ago, but now that he does I had to order one!

That’s gonna be a great bass. Congratulations.

I go back and forth on my pick guards, with the tort one on about half the time and the clear one the other half. I have a parchment guard I don't use much, but that happens to be on the bass when Nino took the wood floor shot before he sent it.

I just put the clear one on last week. Which do you guys prefer?

Wow. Tough choice. They both look great.. However, with that beautiful top, I'd have to go with the clear.

I dig the tort, but I'm a tort old school guy, beautiful bass either way!
