The Valenti Megathread Part IV

I love all the Ice Blues I've seen over the past years. They look great regardless of the pickguard color... black, mint, tort. A matte black 3-ply looks great with any glossy finish... and would look sweet with Ice Blue Metallic.

Oh don’t get me wrong, it’s a fantastic color!

I’m going for an M21-J4, so no pickguard. I’m torn between 3 Satin finishes:

-Ice Blue Metallic
-Inca Silver Metallic
-Sage Green Metallic

Still digging my Ice Blue too. #198

I'm not those guys, but I have experience with that bridge over the years. It's built incredibly well. I love it for that reason. It does sound more modern than a vintage bent plate bridge. The mass of the bridge has some effect on the sound. The notes don't bloom as much as a bent plate, and it has more high end. If those things work for you then it's a fabulous bridge.

I thought I'd share the specs on my Verrazzano build. I'm still in the waiting phase, but luckily, I'm at the tail end of it!

Thanks to everyone who has been posting, it's been a lot of fun seeing your builds come through and hearing your thoughts and experiences!

Basically this, as a 4 string:

Quoting myself.... As I said, I love the looks of this bass, I could see myself playing one in 4 string.... but I have a concern: does it not look too “metal”? As in, the kind of bass that suits a heavy band, look wise? The kind of bass that would look odd in a pop-rock/indie band setup?

I must be overthinking :D

@noahw1 and @Mammoth_Bass , how do you guys like the B bridge on your Valentis? Been considering it over the Kluson for my future Verrazzano.
Well @emjazz wrote a really nice reply that really encompasses things. I’m very happy with the bridge. Solid build, easy string change, and nice sound. Honestly my Valenti is my favorite bass!!

I like it a lot and agree with the comments already posted here.
I can't really speak to the qualities that it brings to the instrument however, as I have only played the bass with this particular bridge. Not sure what it does or doesn't do to the bloom of notes.

Has anyone here inquired about getting a 32" scale Valenti?

Love all his basses but due to a wrist issue I just can't play the long scale lengths anymore.
Hey Phillip, Unfortunately, 32" isn't available. I do offer a 33" scale 5 string. This is available on my 24 fret P styled and 24 fret J styled basses.

So, she showed up this Wednesday! Unfortunately, due to the blackout, I was unable to post. I just have a couple crappy photos from when I first opened the case and I can't take a decent picture at all tonight. I am very impressed with the playability and tone of this bass. The fretwork really shines to me. The electronics will give me everything from polite to all the growl I want. I am so happy! I'll list the specs and the aforementioned pics.

I’ve had this a long time now and it came loaded with Nord single and
Sadowsky preamp. Which was great, but not as different from my Sadowsky as I’d hoped.
So I sent it to Nino and had him swap in Nord Blades and 2B preamp which I like pretty well so far.
More organic but still capable of being edgey.
Totally not my rig, it belongs to the studio I was working at. Sounded good tho.
