Do I remember Abraham pulling dog tags from around his neck and throwing them away after beating that dude to death with the can?

This was discussed at length on Talking Dead. Eugene's spontaneous fabrication claiming to know how to stop the walker plague gave Abraham a reason to keep going. The Mission to get Eugene to Washington was everything to Abraham.

Oh, I don't watch Talking Dead. Can't stand that cheesy host.

I watched the last episode again and here's my take. After Abraham's wife and kids died, the only thing that gave his life meaning was the Eugene mission. That's why he was pushing the group so hard. I'm not even sure if he was even in the military. He was wearing civilian clothes in the flashbacks.

That is what I took from it as well, although I do think he was in the military as he had dog tags on and he ripped them off in the last flashback right before he was going to kill himself.

What do you think is the significance of the cut on his hand, seems like it has been there since his family died.

I donnoh. I have a suspicion that he might have been one of those doomsday preppers. He acts military but he was wearing civies.

What I thought was weird about that was how long it took Bob to die. In the first season, Andrea's sister got bit an turned in a matter of minutes.

They cleared out of the camp site pretty quick after the hord attacked and she had died and turned by the time they left.

I just watched "Consumed" the 2nd time. Not a whole lot happened, but it was a great expansion of the story of Carol & Daryl. I think one or the other of them isn't going to be around much longer. Probably Carol. Which probably mean Daryl.

Great episode... Man, Carol is one hearty kickass heroine! First they drop her off the bridge in a van, then they straight up hit her with a car!

I really dig that they're heading back into a city, which to me is a much more interesting and deadly environment.

Good episode, but the van thing was totally not believable.

The van thing was both cool and kind of bogus. Walkers falling on top of the fan made me laugh.

Carol and Daryl are the most interesting characters. A C&D spinoff show could work if the group doesn't make it or they can't all get back together.

Someone was following C&D while they followed the car with the white cross. What's up with that? Maybe I missed it, even after 2nd viewing.

According to acceleration due to gravity, if the bridge was 20 meters high (65'), the van would be doing around 22 mph on impact. I think it is survivable since thee was still enough battery to deploy the airbags, but I think it would have nosed in or landed on its roof.

I don't think it was as tall as 20m though.

When they dropped the van at the shoot it did indeed land on it's roof. But sometimes you have to let these little things go.

Absolutely I can let it go, because, well, it's glaringly obvious: There ain't no such thing as zombies!

Hygiene: all the women in the group are just fine.

Agreed: Carol is just fine.

Good episode, made me want more. I expect that they are going to have a war with the hospital people, but I would like to see them ask for Beth and Carol back and have them just give them back. Would show that both groups are still decent people.
