Im thinking Daryl and Carol got to where Beth is and couldnt get her, but they rescued someone else who was trying to escape who can tell the group all about the horrors of the place from a first person account while we viewers will see it in the Beth's perspective episodes.

I dont know...I never wouldve guessed Morgan's return...
I think if there's one thing that I'll be 'right' about is that the first half of the season will be all about the group reuniting with Beth and some sweeeeet Daryl revenge... the second half will be the group catching up with, and possibly saving the asses of, Abraham, Eu-twerp, and Rosalita.

When did Daryl and Morgan meet? I can't remember.

One thing from last night I am unclear about: did Rick and the others actually go all the way to the elementary school, find out there was nobody there, and then come back just in the nick of time... or did they just pretend to leave the church then double back, in order to bait the termites into action?

And what was the whole point of the zombies outside the window, and Gareth's monologue that the glass is going to break?

Those zombies were inside the school trying to get out at the Termites.

I think Rick, knowing they'd been followed and the termite's were hunting them, waited for them to show up. It was a trap.

By the way, why don't we see very many kid zombies? You would think there would be a lot of them around.

wasnt Daryl in the little booby trapped town that Morgan had set up?
if not... then they never met and theres even less chance he'd bring him back to the church ... ESPECIALLY with Morgan BEHIND him in the dark.

IIRC it was only Rick, Michonne, and Carl who went to Morgantown last season in "Clear." (One of my favorite episodes.)

In order for my theory to be correct, Daryl would have to witness Morgan do something heroic to earn his trust (like rescue Beth).

By the way, why don't we see very many kid zombies? You would think there would be a lot of them around.

Child labor laws are pretty strict in the film industry. Which is also why babies and small children are usually played by twins, They're only allowed to be on camera for so long.. etc.

What makes you think the other person is with them voluntarily? Just sayin', I wouldn't put it past Daryl or Carol to take a hostage.

Ya know, that would be a cool direction to take as it would really start to up the level to which the group may go to protect each other... then Gareth's plea about how we "used to help people" and Bob saying that the nightmares dont have to end who you are would be foreshadowing a dark turn in the group's psyche.

It would be cool, but I'll tell you what I think would be even cooler. What if Carol walked out with Eugene? Then they'd have to go rescue Rosita and what's-his-face... The redhead.

*Edit: Actually, just thinking about your point on it turning darker... That would be much cooler.

I dig your style, dude. Hostage-taking would also have the effect of further straining the group's relationship with Father Gabriel, I think...

Maybe not just Gabriel. Seems like Tyrese, Carl and a few others were watching the church massacre in disbelief.

It was a turning point. They chose, for the first time, to kill with extreme malice. Not unprovoked to be sure but they could have just staked them outside and left them to the walkers but chose to beat then to death.

Yeah, but given the nature of the Termites it's not something to be shocked about! They had much worse come-uppance deserved. I'm more shocked that Maggie and Glenn shrinked away. Im not one for murder, but damn, that was more than justified.

Was it Maggie and Glenn idea to leave? I know they agreed to it to defuse the situation, but wasn't it Abraham's idea?
