They showed him at the Bob-b-q, but his face wasn't messed up. Tyrese beat the crap out of him, enough to knock him out. Daryl has a black eye from right before Terminus. Doesn't add up.

The cars with crosses also weren't the same. Gabriel also didn't quite have 2 years worth of canned goods. Hard to say if these two were important to the story or oversights by the writers/producers.
Speculating that the car that has blondie, with the cross in the back window, has some sort of connection with Gabriel.
I don't think Gabriel locked out other survivors from the church, they could have easily broken into the church... not a window broken.

Now, for full effect go to google maps and put "61 Lorwood Drive, Savannah, GA" in a pick Street View. You'll see the sign that's for the path in the first pic, do a little 360 and you'll see that's right in the middle of your average everyday neighborhood.
Also, there are no street lights or outside lights at that church so it's dark at night. It looks like a setting out of a horror film as is. They wouldn't even have to do much set decorating.
Didn't the church have shutters on the windows? Isn't that what Carl was looking at that had the marks on it like someone was trying to break in?
My guess is that Gabriel's mystery has something to do with the woman with the glasses in the photo. I don't think he's as evil as everyone else does. I think he's just weak and scared and made some bad choices to survive. I think he's a plot device to show how Rick has become so untrusting of strangers. But, hey, I could be wrong.

Yup, which was a day before Terminus. The guy who got beat up by Tyrese wase a day later and didn't seem to have the slightest bruise.
Oh, right, I see what you mean. Sorry. I'm gonna rewatch the episode on AMC.com to look again. I was half-way looking away at my drink when he came on the screen.
Continuity errors happen. Get over yourselves and enjoy the ride. It's TV, not Tolstoy. 
I just watched the last episode again. Abraham and Rosita are definitely hiding something.
