The World's Most Beautiful Fretless Basses ...

Its a love/hate thing

Any clips of that one? What kind of strings are you using?

Sorry, no clips (never really took to the mp3 clips online idea...too many variables to give a decent approximation of the REAL tone...)...strings are DR Black Beauties.

That bass is a midrange monster, very mwah-y and growly, practically plays itself as well. Only negative I can find is that it's a bit on the heavy side at 11.5 lbs (very thick bubinga top), but the body shape is so comfortable that you don't really notice it once you strap it on...

True, although I'd bet it still sounds great in the band setting.

Used to brew beer, had a severe allergic reaction to the last couple of batches---

Whoah, what happened with that?!?!?

You know, the usual; labored breathing, throat closing up- -
Thought it might have been the toasted ginger, or the touch of tequila (yeah, I know ).
So we made a "normal" ale, same reaction.
Took that as a sign to stop for a while.

Back on topic!!

Normally not a scroll horn/omega waist guy, but for some reason, I dig this one

Me too ... I don't usually like if the horn looks like this but I think this bass has a cool throwback feeling about it.
