Actually $1000 is way too generous, it's probably more like $700.
They'd still only give you $250 for it at Guitar Center.
I used to have a Squire that was twice as better!!!!!

I can't believe he hasn't sold that dog yet! Cripes. What is the world coming too? I guess rock stardom just isn't what it used to be. In the old days rock stars would be lining up to buy just so they could say they owned it... Oh wait. We are talking bass players here... Nevermind.
The original asking price was $100,000. That thing's been around for a long time. It will never sell for $250K.
Six tort pickguards and all the flats in the world still won't make it a P bass.

Jens did sell it. It's now at Wynn & Company Jewelry in Las Vegas. It's been there for a long time and will be there for a long time at that price. I guess they're waiting for some high-roller from Dubai to come in and buy it as a wall hanging.
I was going to buy it in 2008 but the $100 shipping cost was a dealbreaker for me.
Well, what can I say. I imagine Liberace's bass might look like this. I bet they won't make a heavy relic version. No point emulating road wear on something like this, because who would have the cajones to actually gig this bass for 30 years?
