Seriously? If I can convince one TB member to look him up it's been a good day.

If you like rock, pop, even any kind of stylized rock-influenced music, they guy you like, his/her influences were influenced by Cynar.

Trevor Bolder bassist for Spiders from Mars with Bowie plus he had the coolest sideburns in Rock history!

John Lodge - Moody Blues bassist plus great singer/song writer extraordinare.

Listen to their catalog of work and the fact no one else mentioned them tells me they are truely under rated Rock bassists.

Pete Sears, Jefferson Starship. His bass line in Miracles from their Red Octopus album is one of my all-time favourites.

Yes, and he also did great work on the opening track, "Fast Buck Freddie", which might be my favorite Airplane song even though technically it isn't one.

Yep. Arthur was a terrific bass player, but good gravy, not everything has to be a contest. Zappa had a long string of excellent bass players, going all the way back to Roy Estrada in the original Mothers Of Invention, and extending right on through to Scott Thunes on the final tour — even though Thunes had a personality that alienated most of the other bandmembers.

I totally agree and never implied a contest, was merely stating what Frank said. I liked them all, though I never got to see Roy or Tom play in the band live in concert.
