Theme Shows

Over the past couple of years my band, Rebel Swain, has been invited to do theme shows. The music is obviously paramount, but it's fun to get into costume and have fun with everyone. One of my favorites is one we had October 27th at Quinn and Tuite's Irish pub in Grand Rapids, Mi. It was a Halloween contest and party which was packed. (Sorry, I don't have any pictures looking outward). We judged and all dressed like Ghostbusters including one singer dressing like Rick Moranis and our guitarist dressed like the stay puffed marshmallow man.

Some fans made their own band shirts and dressed as zombie groupies and some spouses dressed as the female ghostbusters. The lead singer is the female to the right of the marshmallow man, our drummer is on his knee with a proton pack and I'm in the middle with the cigarette.

Any other fun outings that people have had?

Best, Brian

Theme gigs can be a blast. Last year my buddy turned 60 so we put together a band for a 60's themed party. The crowd got totally into it and everyone (200+ people) turned up in full regalia. Great time with lots of special surprise guests, including the birthday boy's wife as a Ronette...
