Night Court.

Wouldn’t swear to it but I think that’s Abe laboriel on that one. That little snap lick he does before the lead sax line kicks in that leads me to think that.

Abe is the man. Not really into pop and slap guys or really into the technique itself - but Abe has always been a big influence for me. He played on ALOT of old 70s/80s gospel/ccm records that I grew up on.

Just saw this thread. Cool how so many themes were bass driven or bass as the focal point.
