not to be a jerk, but i don't think bootsy could play that way. bootsy is all about funk and thee ram jam is sort of like victor style.
^^^
This is why Bootsy created an alter ego. Although known as a funk master, I think Bootsy wanted to do other stuff without diluting his FunK Master image, so he created an alter ego. Just as all the players of PFunk originally created characters for themselves.

So yah, for the record, I think it's Bootsy.

If he were playing this stuff simply as Bootsy Collins, I am sure there would be a lot of people talkin trash about it, so this lets him experiment without opening himself to the narrow minded critics.

Its not Victor or Bootsy. He does do work with Bootsy. I have met him. He came to my house to check out some cabs I was selling(ashdowns 4x8's) at the time. Brought a Thunderfunk amp and blasted the cabs for about an hour. He actually left with my favorite strap in his bag. He did return it. He lives in Riverside Ca..

On the Thee Ram Jam site, clicking on the audio ("Auditory Cloning") and video ("Holographic Transmissions") sections produce nothing, and the site has been up for months. I don't see Bootsy having a site up that long and so little to show for it. Thee Ram Jam can obviously throw down, but to be honest, the persona and website are, IMO, boring. Bootsy may be a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them.

You must have been the one he was telling me told him to check them out. ?? That was about a year ago or so. He passed on them. They didn't have a tweeter in those cabs and that was what was lacking for him. Nice guy.

Yes that was me. I definitely told him to check them out. He knows me and he knows that I'm a long time Ashdown user and endorser.

Thats exactly what he said. I mean he didnt say you by name but did say a friend who was an endorser told him. The TB, making the world a smaller place.

He told me that after he checked them out, that did he like the cabs but he wanted a tweeter. And that he realized that they were just a little to small for him.

He really is a nice guy and talented.
