So who is he?! I checked out his site several months ago and thought it was Bootsy. Regardless, he has way more talent than me.
Is Theron Thee Ram Jam? he sure had his style down at the Watson booth. The one video I see of him with Bootsy and Thee Ram is no where in the video...just Theron. Coincidence?
I saw him at NAMM. He was at the Warwick booth with Bootsy. He wasn't that much taller than me and I'm only 5'3". I estimate him to be about the same height as Victor, maybe a little shorter. He's definitely not Bootsy incognito and I don't think it's Victor either. He's got his own distinct style of grooving. Saw a video of a guy playing his Watson signature bass who had a similar style. I don't know too many young dudes who like wearing wrist watches, so my guess is he is +40 years old.
He is definitely a cool cat and a killer player.

Just learned about him today. Damned interesting. Not Bootsy - he doesn't play much of that style of slapping. Not buckethead - it would be full of jaw-dropping chops like in his live bass videos.

I am truely honored and humbled by the kind words and being compared to Thee Ram Jam! Thank you! I don't get on talk bass alot because I have an addictive personality. However, I have to post a reply before I commit identity theft. To set the record straight, I wish I was Thee Ram Jam! It would be cool to be from another planet and record with Bootsy! The reality is that I am just a struggeling bassist with a day job from mother Earth. I'm not complaining because I have grown to like being "me" and wouldn't trade my musical journey for anything. Is it FreekBass? FreekBass is a cat (bass player) that Bootsy was promoting a few years back. I have his single and He was pretty funky. I can tell from the hands that it isn't Vic and the body habitus is all wrong to be Bootsy. Nice chops... I'm going to have to steal some of them!

Freekbass is White and from Cincy Ohio....I've seen him with the the band "Shag" before he went solo and that ain't him..Freekbass is a tall dude, helluva a player but sadly gets lost in the mix with all the keyboard bass
