They’re back! (Screen-filling pop-ups)

@MattZilla Thanks for the screenshots. Providing them to the ad support tech now.

There is one step you can do that really cuts down on the time it takes to track and remove these bad (mislabeled) ads. If you're on a page that throws up a sticky footer ad, go up to the address bar and add #audit to the end of the URL. Hit "enter" or "go" and your screen should freeze with an overlay on top of every ad on the page that says "Report This Ad". Click on that to report an ad directly to the source with all the info they need to zap it.

It's rather cumbersome to do on mobile, unfortunately.

PURINA still making my tb experience a real PITA

I'm sorry I didn't reply to you directly about this. Supposedly the ad folks have taken care of this issue BUT in order to see the change you may have to clear your browser's cache/data. Once you do this and if you still get the bad ad (or if you have already), please let me know.

I'm sorry about this. Can you confirm that you cleared your browser's cache? The ad people will want to know.
I can confirm that I haven’t. I stupidly have a few hundred tabs open saving a bunch of half-read articles and gift ideas.

Embarrassingly ignorant question: can I clear my cache with the tabs open and not lose them?

I know in Chrome, clearing your cache does not close tabs. It may however log you out of various websites in your tabs (you'll have to log in again).

It’s happening to me, too. The first pic is an ad showing up in my older iPad. It does not go away, even after clearing the cache. The next ones are from my iPhone, cache not cleared. Making it so I can’t/don’t want to use the site..:(

On the older iPad, what version of iOS is it running? That looks like a bug in the ad code, I'm wondering if may be related to older OS / Safari. Please do clear the cache on your iPhone (Settings - Safari - Clear browsing data) and let me know if that helps.

Hi thanks for your reply. The iPad is 12.5.6. I cleared the cache on the iPhone (12) and there seems to be less ads, but I still get floating banner ads at the bottom of the screen, and some larger ones like these:
