Saw one of Ritter's "exotic" basses a long time ago in a bass magazine, might've been BP...$100,000 - diamond inlays....definite work of art.

Awesome art piece, for sure. Maybe my only experience with a piezo only setup was misleading. My Godin Acoustibass could be harsh/brittle sounding at times and somewhat of a challenge to reign in. Though I'm sure, as undoubtedly pricey as this instrument is, there's going to be an incredible sounding electronics package, right?

My experience of them is a focused tone but not terribly loud. For all their looks I suspect they're a dream in the studio.

As a kid Iron man was my favourite. Wish he'd put lights in the headstock for helmet eyes. As for playing in public, I have no shame so we're all good!

Nice. I still have a complete run from #1, to around 80 or so.

This was way back in the days of old, when one could go to the downtown local specialty comic store and buy 12 cent Marvels for either 35, of 50 cents, depending on condition.

I thought all the Iron Man/Marvel comments were just due to the color scheme of the bass, and then I looked closer and saw that the inlays are actually Iron Man...

This guy makes unique basses, no question, but even if he charged a fraction of what he does, I dunno...just too out there for me.

Jens Ritter really is just in a league of his own. I don't like this bass at all - I almost had to be hospitalized with "Marvel Cinematic Universe Fatigue" in 2018 - but as always the craftsmanship is astonishing.

I'm not into Marvel at all (I couldn't care less if I ever saw another Marvel movie), but I can appreciate this for what it is! Fantastic and artful!
