Double Bass Thing Bassists Fight Over (DB forum thread)

Then there's French v German, Amp or No Amp. I used to be on a forum in the early aol days and that was a heated topic that went on endlessly.
BTW, the actual Mary Ann came into a restaurant where I had a steady gig(those were the days) and sat at a table right next to me. I couldn't stop staring. :hiding:

French vs. German: French for orchestral, german for jazz gigs
Method: Give me mr.Simandl's Orange and white books and i'll be happy
Extension: would be awesome if i had the cash
Drummers: playing with a loud drummer sucks...unless you are amplified cuz then your amp can blow him out of the water :)
Oh and i'm a fan of sitting on stools, much better for long orchestra rehearsals and I personally play better...however most of my bluegrass gigs i play standing up so i can move around and move closer or farther from the mic
