It's that spot in the gig where you stop thinking about the notes and they just happen. The one where it's all you can do to remember what planet you're on. It's the notion of nirvana popping into you and taking you through the rest of the set. the subconscious taking over and going where it will.
It's also that place where instead of stopping at the end you just transition into the next song without a seam. The idea that pops into being and slowly gets cultivated into the next song. The symbiosis. The generation of a sonic landscape evolving before exploding into a thousand familiar places and then merging into the cohesive form of the next tune.
It's that feeling when you know that you can expand your musical thoughts into longer more verbose passages that take you somewhere and back again if you're really listening. Like a fat spider deftly dancing around the fretboard in a pattern that can only come from divine intervention.

I agree with this 100%. We all know the bass player stereotype, people think it's easy and boring. We know thats not true and I feel bass players will tend to be better all-around musicians because, for me anyway, we set out to discredit that negative view. It also means we take pride in what we do. I mean who starts playing bass because they want to be the cool bad-ass?
