Things just got serious over at WMD - The Geiger Counter

I find, when performing live, it's good to go over it with the band, find ONE sound out of the many that are available that fits the best, and keep it there. Often, one sound will be able to work for several songs, and other sounds can come from other pedals.

I understand that, but why not get a pedal that can do one sound very well, and use it for that. If you are going to use one pedal for one sound, why spend the extra money to get one that can do hundreds of great sounds. And likewise, if you are going to build a multipurpose pedal, in terms of sounds, why make it only able to do one thing at a time. But yet again, that is just my opinion. For instance, the Geiger Counter could probably do a great Bit Crusher, Gated Fuzz, Overdrive, and crazy wacked out noise, but if I only can have one sound at a time I would just by a pedal that is more specifically tailored to each of those sounds (unless I could switch from sound to sound live with the GC). Maybe this is just me being weird and slightly anal about wasted potential. ;)
