People riding Vespas in full motorcycle gear.
It looks ridiculous.
They are not trying to look bada$$, and people that ride them with a small scull cap helmet and regular clothes are just as dumb.

Scooters are the most dangerous of all two wheeled bikes because average people think they only go up to 30mph so they have time to pull out in front of this slow bike, not realizing they are going 45+. I have been clocked at 61mph. Officer said, "I did not know these can do that." I said, "Neither did I." he was so impressed I got a warning. :D

As one that has one in his garage (1974) with the back end smashed in so far that the motor fell out, and I went sliding across the intersection dragging my knees while holding on to the bike. I can say that thick pants and boots are the only reason I can walk now. Even with the protection I was not able to walk for over three months. This happened in 2001, I keep it as decoration.

Full face helmet is also required. I have also taken a two of my buddies to the hospital that hit their face on the car that T-boned them (that makes a big blood mess). And another that was hit from the side, he flipped over his handle bars and the only impact on his helmet was at the front of the jaw. He walked away only shaken and pissed because of his full face helmet.

I have many more stories but those are a few I witnessed between 1995-2001.

Always ride with protective gear, they can put broken bones back together, but you can not reconstruct ground meat on the pavement.
