Things that shut you up....

It's a great thing. Guaranteed to shut anyone up instantly. The application might be a bit tricky let's say...if some hairy, nasty fat lady at the coffee shop counter is yelling at you, you would need to really be creative in applying the duct tape. It helps to not be proud I'd think. You would almost have to have Maki-like sense of not being a proud man . . Of course... the down side to all of this is that the removal may cause quite the opposite effect of shutting someone up, but by then you'd be long gone anyway.

Just sayin'

That sounds reasonable,I'l try that out on the next fat hairy lady who's yelling at me.:D

:spit:people's idiocy especially when someone demonstrates that there really are no limits to stupidity.
Like: "Is Mexico a state?" from my sister who just got in highschool.:bawl:
"Wasn't Niel Armstrong the first man in space?" by this senior in class after we went over Allen Sheppard in my Aerospace class being the first American in space and Niel not being an astronaut until much later than him. :scowl:
- and these were just two of the not so stupid examples.

Also people who when arguing, realize that they are wrong and insist that they were right the entire time.:rollno:

lastly anyone who starts a conversation with I heard this great song in Rockband/Guitar hero.- I usually tune out after that. Especially if they say Metallica, The Who, Rush, or Nirvana. The reason why? They just know either that one song, or only know of 3 songs(Nirvana's Teen Spirit, Drain You, Heart Shaped Box).:crying:

Anyone who says playing bass is just like a guitar.
/rant

Also Monty Python quotes; I end up laughing so I can't talk.:p

sorry about the long post.

You don't mention Yuri Gagarin in your classes? You Americans...:D

;)

I never remember the Russian cosmonaut who was first in space. IF Yuri Gagarin is his name, than yes he was mentioned; we're focused more on rockets than people and it's an elective course.

Yep sure, rockets carry them to the space.Still....Yuri is the first one to the space.:p

I'm just messin' withca' man,who cares about the cold war stuff,we're all brothers here...

Except Yuri,he's the brother UP there.:D

;)

ps: Do you know about the story of Armstrong and his neighbour,if you do please tell, its a cool story.:)

You mean the one about Mr. Gorsky(his neighbor) and his wife(Mrs.Gorsky)? and Mr.Gorsky getting some 'action' when Armstrong got on the moon?
:P

something you could try sometime: "sorry, I missed what you said as I was urinating too loud" :D

I'm using that next time someone calls me and I don't want to talk.

Haha yea,always loved that one.:p

Good luck Mr. Gorsky.;)
Alright here's the story:
Snopes.Com said:
When Apollo Mission Astronaut Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon, he not only gave his famous "One small step for man; one giant leap for mankind" statement, but followed it by several remarks, including the usual COM traffic between him, the other astronauts, and Mission Control.
Before he and Buzz Aldrin re-entered the lander, he made the enigmatic remark "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky." Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival Soviet Cosmonaut. However, upon checking, [they found] there was no Gorsky in either the Russian or American space programs.
Over the years, many people have questioned him as to what the "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky" statement meant. On July 5, in Tampa Bay, FL, while answering questions following a speech, a reporter brought up the 26- year-old question to Armstrong. He finally responded. It seems that Mr. Gorsky had died and so Armstrong felt he could answer the question. When he was a kid, Neil was playing baseball with his brother in the backyard. His brother hit a fly ball which landed in front of his neighbors' bedroom window. The neighbors were Mr. and Mrs. Gorsky. As he leaned down to pick up the ball, he heard Mrs. Gorsky shouting at Mr. Gorsky, "dOral vex? dOral vex you want? You'll get doral vex when the kid next door walks on the moon!"

Here's a link to read the authorized, government sponsored, politically motivated, cover-up:
Gorsky Didn't Get Lucky

drop the underlined letters
swap a consonant for the bolded items. This way the kiddies(if there are any get confused.
