I still remember the tagline: "The nauga is ugly, but it's hide is beautiful"...
In around 1982 I was shopping for my second house. Mainly looking at bungalow style built in the 20s and 30s. One I looked at had a very similar oven. It was gold and the center section wasn't as wide.
I have seen stuff like that in little hole in the wall eateries. And within that last decade.
But certainly not a common sight these days.
I bet that is a Crosley. They made everything; clocks, radios, toasters, even cars. They looked like that.
Never saw those either. There was a place called Big Ed's in OKC that made a big, pizza sized grilled onion burger.
If we've ever wondered who late night talk show hosts model their TV personas after.....
Love pizza and still love a Whopper now and then, but that BK pizza thing looks pretty disgusting. Don't think I could eat that. Ever.
