Growing up in semi-rural Pennsylvania in the 60s/70s, we had numerous farms in the area. As kids, we'd hang out in some of the abandoned and dilapidated barns and corn cribs, making obstacle courses, which included running the beams and jumping or swinging from point A to point B, wherever each happened to be. And in the winter, we'd make campfires in the barns, despite being full of tinder and other flammable materials. We were careful not to burn anything down, but still, we were kids. At least one of those dilapidated old barns collapsed, lucky we weren't in it at the time. Oh, the memories.
