I'm sure I still have a complete set of cards I bought in my mid teens, but pictures of it would be absolutely inappropriate here.
Built by the Frenchman who invented recumbent bicycles, the 1953 Mochet panel truck would likely lose to anyone pedaling themselves, what with its one-cylinder, 175cc engine.
I haven't seen one of these for decades:-
back in the late 60's I was in a stereo equip. store.
There was this console stereo vinyl record player made by Toshiba..........I think it was called a "Toshiba Boston".
Instead of a needle cartridge it had a sensor eye on the pickup arm which interpreted info from the surface of the record.....therefor there was no needle wear.
This was way before cd's or Lazer discs etc.etc .
The concept quickly died ...I only saw that model for sale for about one year........and the technology at the time wasn't repeated......
Of course much much later along came the cd and Lazer disc by others with exactly the same idea.
Toshiba was way ahead of it's time with this.....but for some reason it didn't catch on....
Just like 4-channel stereo never took off......saw those "quad" stereo units in stores for a couple of years
in the seventies......but they never caught on either really....

OK, I need some help on this one. Searched a while back, and just searched again, and I'm starting to think maybe I hallucinated this stuff

Back in the sixties, there was poster paints that were advertised on TV. The big thing about these specific paints were that they were unspillable. I thought they were called "plaints" but I couldn't find anything, even using multiple spellings. To best of my recollection, they like little cups with covers and holes in the top that you dipped your brush into. When you removed the brush the hole somehow closed up again. Not sure even if I ever had those paints. I remember more just being fascinated by the commercial as a kid. Didn't know how they did that.
