I was thinking more along the lines of Knievel wondering if this, after having cheated death so many times, was the end.I know what was going through his mind at 0:24.
The pavement.
Its weird falling off bikes, horses whatever, ( having done both on numerous occasions).. the brain probably does some self protection thing, hard to describe, you're not really aware in the same way you might think, I've never thought ''s*** I'm going to die'' when falling off fast moving objects!...other friends who've also come off bikes have described the 'slow motion' effect, almost like you're watching yourself...again difficult to put into words, poor old EK nearly made that jump too, just lost the steering on the ramp coming down!I was thinking more along the lines of Knievel wondering if this, after having cheated death so many times, was the end.
You don't see these anymore!!!..there was a time when most (working class anyway) households would have one under the bed!View attachment 2986394
