Thread-drift: That reminds me of a practical joke I played on my Dad when I was ~5 years old:

My Dad played a lot of racquet sports, including squash. For those unaware, squash is an indoor sport played in an enclosed (4-walls + ceiling) court, using a strung racquet (like a tiny tennis racquet) and a ridiculously dead ball. If you drop a squash ball onto the floor it doesn't bounce, it just sits there morosely complaining "Why me?" So you have to smack the crap out of a squash ball just to get any rebound off those aforementioned walls/ceiling.

The balls are also prone to breaking periodically because of all the smacking-the-crap-outta that goes on. So when I would go watch my Dad play squash at the local college fieldhouse, my job was to toss him a new ball (from the observation gallery up above the court) every time he or his opponent broke the ball.

One time I tossed him a SuperBall® instead of a squash ball. :)

I think it took close to 10 minutes for the ball to stop caroming around the court from the opening serve!
