We called them Walletbuster. Movies must be returned by midnight or you get a late fee. You’d return them by midnight, then TWO WEEKS LATER, they’d send you a late fee notice. They got in trouble doing that. Didn’t matter to me, I didn’t pay a late fee because I wasn’t late, but they lost a customer. Probably just one of many reasons most of them went under.

The thing I hated about BB was searching the shelves for movies and seeing a box with a major star on the cover...only to find that movie was made 8 yrs ago before they were famous. And they only have a bit part in it. But there they are promoted as the 'star'. Fell for that marketing ploy more than once. 
I really miss the Borders on Oxford street.
The Christmas that the smaller, sole remaining branch, on Charing Cross road, closed down ; I witnessed the most magically romantic thing I've ever seen in my life.
I can’t remember the last time I saw some earlier model Infiniti vehicles. G20, I30, J30, Q45... it’s like they just disappeared. They were very popular in my town.
