Man, those things sucked.
That might be why you no longer see them.Man, those things sucked.
It sure was. Hadn't thought about that game for years! And years!Tempest was the chit!
And typically, no mention of the bassist
I was surprised to see they still seem to be available. That might be why you no longer see them.
Yeah, I still use the tin of nugget and brush &/ or cloth on me shiny up shoes. I got a thing about leather.... not in THAT way, but I DO love a good pair of leather boots, shoes.... love the oiled leather too, and wear an elastic side pair daily to work, have done for 30 years.Pure genius. You have the mind of a logician. I shall adopt your technique, Sir.
Speaking of pride in the appearance of one's shoes, another thing "you don't see anymore" is my father (he died in 2002) sitting at the breakfast table on Sunday afternoons polishing his shoes (and our shoes if we asked nicely). The man took pride in his work and did a good job at every task he faced, whether operating on a patient or working around the house.
I still pull out the old gear to polish my shoes. Anyone else still use the old fashioned polish/brushes/buff cloths?
Oooooh, that Firebird! drooldrooldroolI am involved with lots of antique and classic car owners. I have a Firebird. A friend of mine has a 1972 Plymouth Duster 340 fully restored and I am doing a TV interview next week for a car show with a friend who owns a 1970 Dodge Coronet Hemi Superbee.

Anyone else remember giving a small wave to a driver who let you in traffic. It was a simple gesture that said “Thanks!”
When did that go away?
i live in los angeles, where driving is a competitive sport, and i'm happy to report that i still get - and give - those thank you waves.
