Yeah, I still use the tin of nugget and brush &/ or cloth on me shiny up shoes. I got a thing about leather.... not in THAT way, but I DO love a good pair of leather boots, shoes.... love the oiled leather too, and wear an elastic side pair daily to work, have done for 30 years.
Still use Dubbin or beeswax to "oil" em.
Here's one I have yet to see on this thread, it was a common sight on used car lots when I was a kid in the 1960s. Look at the line of propellers strung between the lamp posts. they were multi colored and would spin in the wind. I had totally forgotten them until I came across this photo.

i live in los angeles, where driving is a competitive sport, and i'm happy to report that i still get - and give - those thank you waves.
My aunt and uncle built a cottage on a lake in the late 1960s. I remember all of the parental units using these cups so that there would be less dishes to wash. I have not seen or thought of these since at least the early 1970s. The cottage had two bedrooms, so all of the cousins would end up in tents in the side yard. Therefore, seeing these cups reminds me of sleeping in a sleeping bag on the hard ground. For some reason my back hurts now.

Same here in KY. And we still pull to the side of the road when a funeral procession passes. A cousin of mine was very impressed with that fact when our grandfather was buried years ago. You dont see that much anymore though.

It won't be long before you don't see any Sears to sell Craftsman. They just closed the only one around here, and that trend has been going on a long time.
