Just for the record, the guy that did the commercials was not Crazy Eddie. That gentleman's name was Jerry Carroll. On Saturday nights Jerry used to race a Modern Stock car at Wall Stadium in NJ. He was sponsored by Crazy Eddie and I think he even won a feature or two.
Reminds me of this contraption that was advertised in quite a few magazines back in the day...the ROM 4-minute workout. Price was around $14,000!
Yep, I remember seeing these in the in-flight magazines, thinking 'who in their right mind would pay 1/10th of that for this ridiculous POS?'
Was a Creem subscriber back in the day. Still remember some of their colorful comments and captions!

As a kid, the father of one of my friends had a collection of these that numbered in the thousands. Cool stuff.
Most everything in my life dueing the 1960s got covered in Con-Tact paper at some point!
I’m not a marketing person, but if I had been back when this machine was produced, I might have picked a name other than “Savage”
