That Jersey thing about cutting bike forks and pounding them onto other forks to make choppers....we did that out here in California too. Hoping for the best is right.

Do kids use cardboard to slide down dry grassy hills anymore?

I was born in '89 and I didnt have internet at home tell I was 16 or ever cable so I still remember playing outside 99% of my childhood.

I was into old bikes, my group of friends would take old schwinn knock offs and fix them up. We also use to take bike forks that were thin and put on leg of them at a time in like a metal pipe sunk in the groun and bend them backwords. We did it well to where it look stock but this would cause your forks to drop you're whole bike 2-3 inches. It looked sweet.

I didn't see it here, but kids playing with bb guns. I used to put my plastic models up hanging from trees and shoot them up - come to think of it, no one makes plastic models anymore.

Very few people could afford to smoke like that in 2014.

Was that for real? A way to get emphysema or cancer 20 times as fast? Crazy. Richland's pic makes a lot more sense. Cut the cost in half, AND smoke only half as much.

Another ding ding ding for me with the shaker makers. I had the Disney set, and the set that had the hobo in the last picture. Loved those things. They started out big and gelatinous, then dried to little sort of porous statues. When they were in their gelatinous state I remember they tasted salty. Don't ask me why I knew that.

Yet another memory that would have never been resurrected if not for this thread. Awesome stuff.
