You had plastic trays? Luxury! Oh, what I would have given for a plastic tray. In our sschool they threw a pile of ‘em on the floor and we’d have to fight, tooth & nail amongst the inmates for a scrap!

Ah, those metal milk boxes bring back memories. Ours was delivered by Country Belle dairies in my neck of the woods. Probably a good time to resurrect that service during these lock-downs.

Just thought of what would have been a great lost vintage Twilight Zone episode with Rod Serling. The premise would have all potential politicians to take a mandatory Lie Detector test before being considered for any office.

When I delivered newspapers, some of my customers who had those metal mix boxes would ask me to put their newspapers in them to keep them dry.

Where do you get them? They used to be in stores at the end of an aisle or out in the floor in seasonal displays like snow shovels and ice scrapers. I can't remember the last time I've seen kites for sale, not that I've been looking.

Hobby stores for the "serious" kind made of fabric, and Mega-Mart-type toy departments for the cheap plastic kind. I've got a few of the good ones myself.
