I'd like to say that velvet paintings of Elvis are things we don't see anymore, but unfortunately......

Both were pretty much wiped from the face of the earth in the Reagan era anti drug hysteria.
And then there are the heavily edited Roadrunner cartoons, chopped up to remove any closeups of Wyle's crashes during the Carter era anti violence hysteria.

How about lawn-darts. As kids we had a special twist. Trampoline-lawn-darts( beware the double bounce).

As much as it pains me to admit to this, that casio was part of one of the most embarrassing incidents of my early GAS experiences. I bought all my gear at that time from a local store where I had become really friendly (almost family it felt at times) with the owners. They had it, I wanted it, and they told me not to buy it cuz it sucked. I wanted it anyway. They told me if I bought it, it was going to be a final sale, they wouldn't take it back because they were letting me know... it sucked. I bought it anyway. Ran back to the store the next day begging them to reconsider the final sale thing. It sucked. They were pissed, but they gave me my money back. There was nothing right about that situation, coming from my end. I probably still owe some amends on that one.
