We would take sheets of Cut-Rite Wax Paper and wax up the sliding board to make it faster.

And...the low level bands had this with whatever speakers they could round up....or plug into the guitar amp.

In the early 1970s, we auditioned and hired a drummer who also sang, played bass, owned a station wagon, and a gold Naugahyde Kustom P.A. He was older than we were and he was a school music teacher.

This is what the Kustom P.A. looked like. We thought we hit the big time.
