One of the former Sports Authority stores in nearly Citrus Heights, CA becomes a Spirit Halloween store in October.
Same thing happened to one of these locations I used to frequent:

They just tore down the school that I went to when it was built new in 1963. I was a patrol boy there. John Moore Elementary, Saginaw, Michigan.

Oh, a brother safety boy.
I was one but never got assigned my own corner. I was a substitute. :( ( like being on the little league ball team and sitting on the bench)
I can't believe that it was that important to me. The whole ritual of folding the safety belt up properly and hanging it off your belt during school hours like a badge of authority. :atoz:

I think there was a way to bind the bundle without the rubber band.

Ha! I forgot all that!..I never made it any officer rank.

Yeah I can't remember the last time I saw a kid hung out on the clothes line to dry. Looks like he needs to go back through the wash cycle though!:roflmao:
My uncle used to get so drunk grandma threatened to hang him over the clothes line to dry. He claimed that, being Irish, he wasnt drunk so long as he didnt miss the ground when he fell over.

My elementary school building was toun down and another built in its place. The contractor said that he was tearing down a better building than he would be putting up. Gotta love progress.

I can relate. Our house, a 3 story bricktorian, is 130 years old. Joists are 2" x 10" and 16" apart, and the brick is 3 layers on a limestone foundation. We had the entire thing tuck pointed a few years back, and the contractor said the walls were dead straight. It's a lot of house to keep up with at this age, but they sure don't make 'em like that any more!

In the process of getting quotes to build a house. Even with my years of construction experience, trying to get contractors, to understand that that simply making all exterior walls, 2X6 almost doubles the insulative value, is lost on them. I keep telling them, “If you can’t do it, I’m sure another contractor can.”
