Ha! I forgot all that!..I never made it any officer rank.
I was so excited when I was selected to be a safety patrol in 6th grade. Since I had great grades, was well liked by all the teachers and principal, and did other school activities, I was expected to be a safety patrol officer. Some of the teachers had the bright idea to give the officer designations to some problem students with bad grades who were always in trouble thinking it would make them better. The experiment did not work.
I was not happy but I still took pride in serving my safety patrol duties even though I was given the busiest corner in the neighborhood and furthest from the school 4 times a day in the morning, going home for lunch, after lunch, and after school. Our school did not serve lunch and all the students had to walk home for lunch and back for afternoon classes. The teachers figured I was the most responsible to have that corner.
