Oh, man oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man... :jawdrop:

I used to go to work with my father on some mornings, and these were all staples of my convenience-store breakfast. (Back when convenience stores were a fairly new idea!) But I especially loved that Dolly Madison apple pie! :drool: :drool: :drool:

And the cherry pie (backup for when they were out of apple) had actual [bleep]ing cherries in it!! (A concept alien to mass-market food now, apparently.) :cautious:

No matter what or where I try, I still can't find a fried apple pie anywhere to compare to those. :crying:
 
While at Ft. Hood, working on a Huey in the hangar, I would turn on the H.F. radio (30mHz band). I sometimes would hear a command chopper directing battle in Nam. From in the hangar! The doors were open but damn.
For a short time In Country I operated a TRC-97

Then they handed me one of these and sent me out to take walks in the eoods.
