Although he did a pretty good southern accent, I kept waiting for him to bust out in his typical Herman Munster laugh.
…I always felt that 60s TV made weekend partiers out of us all. First, Friday night had The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, etc. Then, Saturday morning cartoons continued the focus. We kids always looked forward to that sequence. The weekend was here!!!!!
As well, do you remember how when the new Saturday shows were close to being premiered the network(s) would have a 30 minute preview show on Friday night that teased us? I remember first catching glimpses of The Banana Splits show and other shows on a Friday night teaser.

I have a couple of copies of that book. Love the cover on yours. It’s so apropos nowadays.
The unfortunate version…George would write another book on the irony of it all.The cover should look a little more like this nowadays
