Here I was at Agency Recording Studio in Cleveland, OH in August 1978 with my Acoustic rig. We had to lug it up to the second floor of the studio. The cabinet had so much low end that I had to cut the low end on the EQ.

Here is a short, scratchy clip from a vinyl 45 record of "Bring It On Home" we recorded that day.

We all had these huge amps we lugged around and they sounded great. Now I see bands with IEM and everything is FOH speakers.
I gotta feel my bass besides just hearing it. Old School I guess.

My practice amp-'cos I can't lift the S.O.B. into my gigmobile. Mine since July, 1970. Still works.

I haven't seen a Kasino since the seventies. A cool guitarist & vocalist my brother and I played with had one. He made it sound good.

By the way, just for record. How tall are you?
I always see you with your bass down almost at Dee Dee Ramone level. I was never able to do that.

Thanx. The sax man isn't a regular part of the band, unfortunately. Most o' the time, we aren't paid enuff for the 4 of us.

Yes, but I don't like schlepping all the gear and being paid like 35 years ago. Greg(sax)does a lotta singles with tracks. That's kinda the direction the music biz has gone 'round here.

When I had one of these, (‘81-‘82), I can’t remember if it was a 10” or 12” up top. I know it was a reflex 18 below. Wish I’d kept it. I did make out on the trade deal when I acquired it. My ragged Ampeg 8-10s for this along with a bag of herbal essences. Ah! Those were the days!

I have a neighbor who's a lifelong union ironworker; doesn't go up high in buildings any more just because he's too old for the heaviest lifting; but he said being 30 stories off the ground is no diffferent to him than standing on a kitchen chair.

Not me, man I get tense getting up on a kitchen chair.

I am 6 ft. tall. I have not played my bass slung that low in decades. Last week, I was asked to get up and play a song with a band I know and the bass player had his bass low. When I played it, it was down to my knees and felt odd now to play that way.
