I never thought about their usefulness. Stronger glass formulas likely quashed the need.

Well considering Johnny Ramone rarely played solos--and most of those were short & sweet--it doesn't quite work--but sure, I get your point.

I vaguely remember these. Had the fish one and the hot dog one. They weren't around very long IIRC.
I'd say they met with a lot of "accidents" after a couple hours of being pulled around the house making their noise.
