You could not pay me enough to get on one of those bikes. I have a SIL who was an ER doc in Denver. The docs there referred to these bikes among themselves as “Donorcycles”.

Once, as a teen, I came off a Jet Ski in the ocean at 30 mph. Just hitting the water at that speed momentarily knocked me unconscious. I had a vest on, but thank god I wiped out face up. That was water, not asphalt.

So much Nope regarding those bikes. Glad that those of you who rode them are still around!

My dirt bike (a Yamaha DT175) was set up by a mate who used to race bikes. I also had a larger sprocket on the rear and 1 tooth smaller on the front, so was lower than standard gearing anyway. After he got hold of it, top speed was 80kph, but getting there was downright scary! I'd beat most V8's easily and many other bikes (750 hondas and 900Kwakkas) from traffic light to traffic light. My main problem was keeping the front wheel on the ground at anything below 3rd gear! I'd just lean over the handlebars and hang on! If not I'd be sitting on the road watching by bike disappear ahead of me!

No, it is not a dog cart, it's a Childs cart previously owned by the semi famous bassist, Rick Shaw.

Not so sure about that; I have one that is used by my wife for harp(the one with strings)and keyboard, then it works quite well for bass, even for upright. Just last night, at a Gram Parsons tribute, I saw the smaller, single channel version(the Strawberry Blond)used by the keyboardist in the first band…

Then, getting back to bass duties…

I don’t remember if it was these exact books but way back in High School Wood shop I designed and built a pair of solid walnut HIFI speakers that kicked @ss in the day. I sold them a few years later for a nice profit!
