Somewhere in our extended family - not sure which household in particular has custody - we still have an original Charles Chips tin, of the lighter-hued type in that fellow's right hand.
Used to use it as a cookie jar. Not sure what it's up to now, but I may just need to find out.

Who filled the cookie tin with sewing stuff
Charles Chips are still made. The truck is another story.
No sewing stuff in the Premium tin; I use it to store packs of the long-stemmed swabs used to clean tape heads.
Told ya it was in better shape than the one from the intertubes!
If I am not mistaken, the darker can is for the pretzels.
Ah. We never were a pretzel family (of any brand), so if that's the case, that would explain why I never saw those cans!
I once found a sewing tin like this and it had cookies in it.
From the early 1900s. Man, those guys had all the fun playground equipment.
While on the topic of playground equipment. These kind of contraptions have been me mentioned before in this thread. They sure were fun
