Back of a Pinto? Same thing happened to me but in a '72 Vega hatchback and thank God I too didn't go all the way, as they say. Pretty sure I avoided 18 yrs of child support payments to a gal that, uh, how do I put this, became pleasantly plump and quick to wrinkles. Whew, dodged a bullet.

What's the proper temperature for cooking a boy scout?

Depends on the application but generally I like to clean and dress them and brown them all over on high heat first in a dutch oven or deep pot. Scrape the Scout fond from the bottom and add a nice full bodied wine. Cover and cook at 350 C for 8 hours.

Keep in mind that Eagle Scouts take even longer to cook.

The one near my house is the West Wind Sacramento 6 Drive-In. It's just across the freeway within walking distance.

@FilterFunk we used to drive by that one near the 50 often. Never went but wanted to check out the flea markets at one point. Glad to see that it is not only still open but updated for the 21st century with digital projection and a Facebook page. Cheers!

I remember those, although I never went to them. IIRC, the one you called Skyline was actually called Sky View. I remember my older brother and sister talking about going there often; I think that drive-in played a lot of blaxploitation movies.

LOL...it was the Sky View....It was over on 47th Ave. That and the Thunderbird in Rancho at Sunrise and 50. Those were the days.
