I produce some local rock and roll nostalgia shows with a combination live band (mine) and a former well known radio D.J. with a sock hop. I also have a slide show that plays during the D.J. sets with photos of lots of old things and people just love it.

How about a couple old music TV shows?

Acceptance of consequences .......
Skate keys.
.........

??? I see skate keys all the time. Though, I spend all my free time at the roller derby.

Someone else mentioned rock candy. Must be a Glendale thing, but I see rock candy in every corner market.

More stuff
USA made Sears Craftsman hand tools.
Three on the tree.
Disc film, APS film - killed by EZ loading 35mm, and digital
620 roll film - I actually miss this stuff. I can still re-roll 120 film on 620 spools, but it's a PITA.

Really? I am talking about the rock candy that they grew on strings. You would just have a string of rock candy crystals you could chew off. That would be cool to see again.... I suppose I could make some.

matchbox cars

OP mentioned being sued for falling off the slide. From what I remember when I was a kid people didn't do that. If you fell it was because you were clumsy or careless and not because someone provided a really cool thing to play on that, oh by they way, could get you hurt if you were clumsy or careless.

Loved the wacky packages! I had a whole big collection of those. And the Schwinn bikes with the small front tire. Man how I wanted one! haha..

Lots of car references here and I guess I miss a lot of that stuff too. Or I did until I bought my Galaxie last September. I upgraded to front disc brakes since she's my every day car, otherwise has most of the car stuff mentioned and I'll add a couple car items.

Ignition switch in the dash, headlight dimmer switch on the floor, lap seat belts only, bench seats, huge steering wheel, analog clock that can't keep time worth a damn and holy cow, look where they put the radio! I also miss seeing engine displacements in cubic inches.

Man, you can show pictures of that any old dang time you want too! I want a '67 Fairlane station wagon...but station wagons are "in fasion" now, so people want crazy prices.

Really. String and all. Also Russian candies, labeled only in Russian, so you just have to guess what's inside. And, Frankincense, or Myrrh I don't know which, it's just labeled "incense".

The Dr. Dreadful food/drink labs. Does anyone remember those? I had those things when I was about 11, 12 years old so it's going on about 14-15 years ago. I can only imagine how bad it was for you to eat/drink that stuff, but it was fun as hell.

Black and white TV. Don't know why but back in the day folks on B&W television seemed to have more of a "star-like" quality than in color. It was like watching something from another world.

Nice dashboard. I'm not a huge fan if american cars, but some of them do have some really funky interiors. I saw one a while ago (can't remember the make) that had a 'selectomatic' gearbox, basically meaning that you selected the gears by pushing a button on the dash. how cool is that?

I guess when it comes to cars these days we are not going to see anything remotely crazy because some marketing manager will say that it's risky and might not sell, so we get the usual instead.
In the 40's, 50's 60's and even the 70's designers dared to be different and created some very interesting cars.
