If you have an Aldi's store near you, I would suggest buying your salad ingredients there. I was in an Aldi's on Thursday and they had pre-packaged, bagged salads for 69 cents to $1.99 and separate items such as a head of lettuce for 99 cents, a couple tomatoes for less than $1.00, a bag of carrots for 69 cents, two broccoli heads for 99 cents, and other items. They also had a 3 lb. bag of onions for 99 cents, 10 lb. bag of Idaho potatoes for $1.99, and bananas for 29 cents a lb. compared to 59 to 79 cents a lb. elsewhere.
Another item that is expensive is automobile anti-freeze.

I have saved thousands doing work on my own.
It's not always so bad though..
I neededa transfercase swapped in my discovery. I had no time and most people said it took then about 48 hours. I paid 550$
Well worth it.
However clutch went out on my Motorcycle shop wanted about 800$ I never did a clutch before so I was hesitant. Decided whats the worst I could do? 12$ clutch and done in about 2 hours.

There are just some repairs that can't be done (lack of tools, lifts) but there are some shops where small repairs are expensive.
Look for different mechanics and get different quotes, I got an alignment done on my Wrangler about 6 months ago and was charged $90.00.
Pecans, pine nuts and grenoble nuts are pretty expensive to.

Haha you could call it the NastywagonNow, if I could only get my van to run on mayo.
Oh I don't think so. Not at all. I pay $70/month for a very good policy. Great comprehensive plan with full tort and a modest deductible. I've had a few accidents over the years, and State Farm has been exemplary. No complaints over the cost at all based on my experiences.car insurance
Is this due to the oil boom in ND or did you start buying everything at Whole Foods? 'Cause obviously that is way way way out of the norm.Food. Healthy food. Our grocery bill has gone up at least 40% over the last year or so. We don't buy Hamburger Helper or other processed foods. It's crazy. We hear how the country is so obese yet eating healthy is out of reach for many.
