Think you can hide in a crowd?

A sniper is less likely to take out a bunch of civilians at the same time.

True, but name any war in recorded history where civilians didn't die. While I'm in no way saying I think killing civilians is nothing to be concerned about, we've come a long way since killing 30K civilians in a single bombing raid or a couple million in a few days with 2 bombs.

Second, if we happen to kill a few of their civilians to get the primary and in so doing we save even a single one of ours, it is IMO an acceptable risk.

Last, I was raised to believe if doors must be kicked in it will ALWAYS be theirs and if that means we have to do some heinous things to keep it that way, I won't lose any sleep over it.

Those cameras used film.

You're correct.

Apparently, I was thinking of the original gigapixel project termed gigapxl project... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigapxl_Project

Here's the Wired article I read on it years ago with the mentioned SR 71 film cameras... [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

A little research showed that the SR 71s had film resolution of about 2.2 gigapixels.

This guy didn't do stitched images like this other one was. His setup did 4 gigapixels.

that Wired article is pretty cool.

I don't understand the reasoning of those who gather in a public place who feel that their "freedom" is somehow being violated when their picture is taken. They are called public places for a reason...avoid them if you're paranoid and can't grasp that no one really cares about you anyway... :D

Regarding Facebook...if you don't want people to know what you're up to, DON'T post it on Facebook.

Exactly. Every one of us has been photographed in public places at some time, and it's perfectly legal. I see no problem with it.

If you don't want your picture taken, don't go out in public, or don't go out without wearing your Groucho glasses.

And if you want to wear your tinfoil hat while listening carefully for the black helicopters that you just know are hovering over the horizon, be my guest.

Just be careful of the water. It may be polluting your precious bodily fluids.
