Hey I got a mim jazz bass I am thinking about ripping out the stock pickups and possibly putting in seymoure duncans (prob miss spelled that) or basslines. I also am thinking about upgrading the bridge. My question is, is it worth it how much more different would the bass sound??

thinking of modding up my bass

Short answer? Yes. Long answer? If you're looking at it as an investment? no. You won't make your money back on it. If you like the bass overall, and just want to generally improve something about it? Yes. I'm at the tail end of a MIM refit and I liked my bass alot before, so it's a keeper. My issue was a deadspot on the G string (which I've virtually eliminated) and I needed more variety in the sound. New Tuners, a bone nut, Basslines,and an Audere pre-amp helped alot. I'll be adding a hi-mass bridge,probably a Badass, when my credit card cools off, and I'm done. But evaluate your instrument, does it need a refit for your playing style or sound? Mine did, but I've done this many times before soI knew what I was looking for. Last thing? If you're looking for a certain sound amke sure this is the bass that can do it, You can't make a Pbass from an EBO.
