Third Hand...worth it?

I'm seriously thinking of buying a Bass Big Muff and also a Micro POG....

But I really love Bass Whammy's, but it's occured to me, that there's this supposed "knob-turning pedal" that's called the Third Hand. You hook it up to the knob, and as you move the expression pedal it turns the knob.

Has anyone experienced this and can give me honest feedback on how well it worked? I'm thinking of buying a Micro POG and hooking this device up to the Octave Up knob while keeping a sub bass sound in.

These get discussed here a quite a bit, but I've never seen a post from anyone who has actually owned one. I'm not even sure if they are available anywhere.

If they were any good, the forum would know about it, but the silence is deafening.

Besides, nothing is gonna let you get a whammy sound out of a micro pog.

I was thinking of something... but its expensive and you need a Bi amp setup.. something like this:
bass->micro pog-->
-->wet-->volume pedal-->amp
-->dry-->amp

or maybe somekind of mixer so you can get both signals in one amp and with the volume pedal you can control de amount of octave you want...
