Bet that would sound truly awesome played through this.
Isn't it the one used by Zappa´s bass player in the Grand Hotel in Montreux in 1971?
Pretty sure that was a flare gun....shot by "some stupid". Actually, they caught the guy.

I actually think this is extremely cool! I always was a sucker for this type of custom job if it was at least half decently done.. and this is roughly 3/4 decently done, so I'm on board with it!
if the pickup routing had been done to match the size of that pickup, it would look excellent. At first I thought that was the truss rod sticking out the headstock end LoL
Someone worked hard on that... the woodworking is far above and beyond the typical drug-induced madness we see in these types of threads.
I'm actually very impressed and can totally see why somebody did that for a KISS-esque time and genre.
But..... I will pass on this one.
