This is a phenomenal song

I've seen Mike Keneally Band/Beer For Dolphins a few times, plus I saw him with Steve Vai. This is one of the less accessible songs in my opinion. Mike's got that Zappa oddness/goodness going on, no doubt. He's a phenomenal guitar player, and a pretty good keyboard player too (sometime both at once).
Bryan Beller is an amazing player too.
If you have just stumbled on him, OP; try some other MKB/BFD stuff out there. I really liked "Dancing" and "Dog" and loved Zappa's "Best Band You Never Heard."

Naw, ive seen and chatted with Mike a few times, and am familiar with all his work.

Its a great live show

I actually kinda like this. He's nor a super accurate singer, but whatever. I actually don't have a problem with the volume of the vox, either, but they could be a bit wetter. (A little reverb or something).

I'd drink some tequila and rock out to this live.

Love me some Beer for Dolphins!
First time I saw Keneally was at the Great American Music Hall in SF with Andy West (of the Dregs) on bass and with Special Guest Buckethead!

This music is really for Zappa Fans (like me).
Most everyday peeps will probably not dig it.

This is the result of top notch instrumentalists trying to make their music more appealing with vocals, IMO. This kind of stuff always leaves me scratching my head as to what the market is exactly for this music. That doesn't take away from the talent of the folks playing it, but really, who is buying these records (or downloads or whatever) and paying to see these shows? I genuinely am curious as to that. I'm guessing European/Asian markets.

Mike Keenally always been a helping hand to Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. I appreciate his music. "Frozen Beef" - if title were different, I could probably consider this tune as phenomenal song :-)
