Ordinarily I would say this is a very well preserved Gretsch 6073 Monkees bass: right size, right shape, vintage correct electronics and controls, fake f-holes. But then there is the presence of chrome hardware instead of gold and the real head-scratcher, that headstock. Never seen a 2+2 headstock on one of these.
Looks like there is a dive down a rabbit hole in my near future.
