This video........is awesome.

Do we get to pick what kind of monkey? I would like to be an orangutan, although technically I think that might be an ape. Does it matter? I'm just interested in the long arms. I could get a beer from the kitchen without leaving the couch. Hooray!

p.s. Monkeys are better than us. They don't pretend to be more than they are.:D

"I am not an animal! I am a human being!"

How can I cop the "smug" tone? Can I eq it up, or is it all in the wood? Cuz I know my technique is impeccable....

You have to tilt your head back and look down your nose. That gives you the correct visual perspective. Then you have to learn how to talk through it with pregnant pauses, with a slightly perturbed and impatient manner, but not too much. You don't want to let the sighs escape as you deal with an audience that is clearly inferior to your intellect. Then you simply have to adopt the attitude that you are important to everyone's well being and how they are here to simply witness the awe that is your presence.

Cool, thx bro! Now if only I could convey it in written form, like sloasdaylight....

Last year I composed a song for my band on the exact same topic as the video in the OP called 'Chimps Are Close To Us' :p

One more thing, I'm really surprised at the fact that there seems to be this notion that only humans have 'consciousness'. As said in the video, "the monkeys are cursed with 'consciousness'". I don't think that's true only for humans (i.e. monkeys in this case). Is this some kind of scientific fact I don't know about? That only humans are 'considered' to have the sense of consciousness?
