That's kind of my point. The fact that people have "another explanation" doesn't change the fact of our status in natural history. And it's possible to believe in creation (and even live in it ) without denial of natural history up to and including our own species, as discovered by science. Any discussion of natural history is not a religious one - it's scientific.

And any discussion of evolution based on faith is really missing the point. Evolution is a topic for science, not theology. Religion can't answer questions about natural history any more than biologists can answer questions about souls and the afterlife.

My grandfather used to use the exact same saying! Brings back memories reading it!


Now, out of principle, I'll have to test if the pH is in any way related to the taste. I've got a whole shelf full of various pH testing reagents in the lab, I'll report back. If I find any link between the two, I demand a retraction of your statement! Since the act of pickling uses an acid, I'd say its quite possible the pH would have an effect on the degree of pickling, and so the flavour of the pickle in question.
